Conte di Cavour was the lead ship of her class, commissioned in 1915 with thirteen 305 mm guns in five turrets. This kit models her as built for the First World War.
She was rebuilt in 1933-37. In November 1940 she was sunk by a torpedo in the British raid on Taranto; she was raised but never returned to service.
