Cunard White Star express liner, 1936
Queen Mary entered service with Cunard White Star in 1936 and won the Blue Riband for the fastest Atlantic crossing that year. She lost it to Normandie in 1937, took it back in 1938, and held it until 1952.
During the Second World War she was painted gray and served as a troopship, carrying more than 16,000 troops at a time and relying on her speed to sail without escort. She was retired in 1967 and is now a hotel and museum ship at Long Beach, California.
This kit has a fully multicolor 3D printed superstructure to keep weight down up high.
