London was a County-class heavy cruiser of the London subgroup, commissioned in 1929 with eight 8-inch guns.
Rebuilt in 1939-41 with a new superstructure, she escorted Arctic convoys during the Second World War. In 1949 she was hit by Communist shore batteries in the Yangtze Incident, and she was scrapped in 1950.
