Minotaur was the lead ship of the last class of British armored cruisers, commissioned in 1908 with four 9.2-inch guns in twin turrets fore and aft and ten 7.5-inch guns in single turrets along her sides. She served as flagship of the China Station from 1910 to 1914.

In the First World War she joined the Grand Fleet and was present at the Battle of Jutland in 1916 with the 2nd Cruiser Squadron. She was sold for scrap in 1920.
