The Battle class were British fleet destroyers completed from 1944, with twin 4.5-inch turrets and a heavy anti-aircraft armament. This kit models the later ships, listed by the IRCWCC as Battle #2.

Most were completed too late to fight in the Second World War. They served into the 1960s, and several were later converted to radar pickets.
